Quantum Sensor Successfully Integrated into the INNOBATT Demonstrator
As part of the INNOBATT research project, we at the Institute of Applied Quantum Technologies, together with our project partners, have successfully integrated a quantum sensor for State of Charge (SoC) and State of Health (SoH) measurement directly into a battery management system for the first time.
The newly developed sensor employs quantum-based measurement techniques to precisely detect even the smallest current signals within the battery cell. This enables significantly more accurate determination of both the battery’s charge level and overall health status.
This successful integration marks an important milestone for the development of intelligent and safe battery systems within the INNOBATT project and demonstrates the potential of quantum technologies for future energy storage solutions.
