AQuT. wins QuantERA Call 2025 Funding for Quanti-PEP Project

We are thrilled to announce that the AQuT. Institute, led by Prof. Dr. Roland Nagy, has been awarded funding as part of the prestigious QuantERA Call 2025 for our project Quanti-PEP. This project aims to revolutionize cancer immunotherapy by developing a pioneering quantum-based platform for the sub-cellular analysis of immune cell activation. By achieving unprecedented millisecond update rates and nanoscale resolution, we intend to solve a major bottleneck: while current immunotherapy relies on programming immune cells to recognize cancer via specific peptides, identifying which of these actually trigger a strong immune response is currently a slow and complex process.

Quanti-PEP will use multi-modal quantum sensing to visualize in real-time whether immune cells can effectively fight cancer cells, paving the way for personalized cancer vaccines and next-generation screening tools. We are proud to coordinate this international consortium of experts and look forward to working with our partners from QuantumCell Diagnostic (Germany), the University of Helsinki (Finland), and Heriot-Watt University (UK) to bring the power of quantum sensing to the fight against cancer.
